Groundbreaking in Hugo

Thanks to everyone who joined us for Groundbreaking!

What a joy it was to gather with so many members and visitors to celebrate this historic moment.  God blessed us with beautiful weather and a great turnout.  We look forward to seeing building progress soon and anticipate the day when God’s Word will be taught on a daily basis within the walls of this facility.  Furthermore, we pray that the message taught on a daily basis will motivate our members to be bold witnesses of Christ’s love in the surrounding communities!

Annual Marriage Workshop

Christ Lutheran’s annual marriage workshop is scheduled for Friday & Saturday (January 25-26) at the Riverwood Inn and Conference Center near Albertville, MN.  Guest presenter Pastor Randy Hunter (St. Andrew, WELS Middleton, WI) will be leading this workshop.  Pastor Hunter has led marriage workshops at WELS congregations across the country.  $198 per couple covers Friday night lodging, as well as Saturday breakfast, lunch, and beverages.
The workshop begins Friday evening at 6pm and will conlcude Saturday afternoon at 4pm.  Enjoy a relaxing weekend in a beautiful setting just northwest of the Twin Cities metro area.  Dedicate time to your spouse as you grow together, laugh together, and strengthen your commitment to each other.

125th Anniversary

Christ Lutheran Church is celebrating 125 years of serving our Lord.   Join us Sunday, October 28th, 2012 at the Prom Center in Oakdale, MN for worship and lunch. Regular worship will start at 11:00am. A program and lunch will begin at 12:30pm. Please RSVP for lunch by calling 651-777-5771.

Marriage Retreat

February 24-25th at the Heartwood Conference Center and Retreat in Trego, WI. 

Looking for a weekend getaway with your spouse?  Here’s the perfect opportunity!  Imagine a relaxing weekend at the beautiful Heartwood Retreat in Western Wisconsin.  Come early on Friday for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, or snowmobiling.  On Saturday there will be a marriage enrichment class entitled, “Living Intentionally & Loving Biblically.”  Enjoy a delicious lunch and dinner and stick around for evening entertainment on Saturday.
We are now taking reservations for this special marriage retreat.  You may chose to stay either Friday or Saturday night (also option to spend both nights).  Please click on the link at the bottom of the page to register.  Registration deadline is Wednesday, February 15th at midnight.  Space is limited so please hurry!

Tentative Schedule:

Friday afternoon – arrival/check-in (Optional outdoor recreation available – ice skating rink and broomball rink on site.  Ski and snowshoe rentals available for $15/rental.  There is also a sledding hill with inner tubes.  Snowmobile rentals are available starting at $185/day)

Friday 7:30 pm – devotion

Friday 7:45 pm – group games/mixers

Saturday morning – breakfast on your own/restaurant on site

Saturday 10 am – noon – marriage enrichment class

Noon – 1:00 pm – lunch

1:15 – 4:15 pm – marriage enrichment class

5:00 pm – dinner

K.I.X.

K.I.X. (Kids In Christ) has started! This New Sunday program for grades K-5th, is to help raise them up to know Jesus and His saving love. There is a special group for ages 2-5, and grades 6th-8th offers a more advanced study. This children’s ministry program will run every Sunday at 9:15am in NSP, & 10:30am in Hugo. This year NSP will have a new curriculum and fresh new format.
